How Much is the T-Mobile Unlimited 55+ Plan?
Monthly Fees
T-Mobile’s 55+ discount cell phone plans offer three tiers of pricing. The basic “Essentials Unlimited 55” is $27.50/line per month, taxes and fees not included. The “Magenta® Unlimited 55” offering is $35.00/line per month, or 2 lines for $70/month with taxes and fees included. The premium, “Magenta® Plus 55” plan is $45/line per month, or 2 lines for $90/month with taxes and fees included. Single lines are a deal – only $40/month plus taxes and fees.
Are Phones Included?
Yes, without trading in your current phone. You can receive a smartphone for each new line you add to a plan via 24 monthly bill credits.
How to Sign-up for the T-Mobile Unlimited 55+ Plan
New T-Mobile 55+ customers can sign up by visiting a local T-Mobile store. Proof of age is required. Existing customers can also sign up by calling 1-800-T-MOBILE or visiting T-Mobile.com.

Streaming Features
Streaming delivers content to your cell phone. If you are using your phone to watch movies, listen to music or play games, download speeds matter. T-Mobile’s “Essentials Unlimited” and “Magenta® Unlimited” plans offer standard definition video steaming up to 480p. That allows for DVD quality video on a small screen while not compromising streaming speeds. With the “Magenta® Plus Unlimited 55” offering, you receive high definition streaming with speeds of up to 1080p. This is well over the recommended 300-320 kbps needed to stream from services such as Pandora, Sirius or iTunes. All three plans offer unlimited data so you don’t have to worry about exceeding your limit to watch your favorite movie.
Mobile Hotspots
The mobile hot spot feature allows you to stay connected while on the go or if internet is down. Turn on the Personal Hotspot feature to browse online from a coffee shop or outside in your yard. However, with the “Essentials” and “Magenta” plans, connection speeds are limited to 3G, slower than 4G options that are up to 10 times faster. For $10 more per month, you can add 10GB of a high-speed 4G LTE hotspot. To get speeds of up to 20GB of 4G LTE, you will need to spring for “Magenta Plus”.
Global Roaming
Other plans provide limited access while traveling or charge high fees for using your phone abroad. T-Mobile allows you to stay connected wherever you are. The “Magenta Unlimited®” plan gives provides up to 2G of data and texting. It is available in more than 210 countries worldwide. If you do need to make a call while on the road, it is only 25 cents a minute.

Scam Shield’s™ Caller ID also allows you to identify callers, even if they are not in your contacts. If you want to prevent individuals having access to your number, Scam Shield™ provides a proxy number and allows you to change your actual phone number once per year for free.
